The date is only 2 weeks away!!!

Our next walk/run is only two weeks away!  Sign up for this event.  It's a beautiful course through Beverly Farms that starts and ends at West Beach. What does the money go towards?  It goes directly to helping those in domestic violence situations.  Examples of help given may be:

  • emergency shelter
  • basic needs (clothing, food, toiletries, etc)
What did we do with last year's money?  The DVU office was in dire need of renovation.  With the help of an interior designer, Lori Bellew of Salda Staging (, who volunteered her time to help us with color choices and a bunch of volunteers from a local church, we gave the office a beautiful face lift.  Valances have been added and we will be replacing the 20+ year old carpeting in the office.  A television has been donated which will be installed on the wall and a DVD player is going to be purchased so the children of the victims will have something to entertain them while their parent is talking to one of our advocates.

Thank you for being a part of this.  Every little bit does help.

Today was fabulous!

Today was an amazing day.  The weather was gorgeous and cool with no cold breeze.  We had many runners and walkers participate in our 1st Annual Beverly Domestic (almost) 4 Mile Walk/Run.   Runners and walkers left shortly after the train went by and were all back before the train went by again.  We couldn't have been more pleased with the day.

I don't have the final number but we were able to raise more than expected for the DV Unit.  With these funds, we'll be able to positively impact many lives and get them started towards a new, positive direction.

Without the following businesses' support, we couldn't have been so successful today:

Thank you also to Waters and Brown who recently donated paint and supplies so we can add color to the DVU office so it's a more calming environment for victims to talk and receive counsel in.

We are looking forward to next year already.  I hope, if you joined us, you'll run or walk again.  If you weren't able to, we hope you will next year.  Stay tuned for pictures from the event and news on our 2013 run/walk!
