The date is only 2 weeks away!!!

Our next walk/run is only two weeks away!  Sign up for this event.  It's a beautiful course through Beverly Farms that starts and ends at West Beach. What does the money go towards?  It goes directly to helping those in domestic violence situations.  Examples of help given may be:

• emergency shelter
• basic needs (clothing, food, toiletries, etc)

What did we do with last year's money?  The DVU office was in dire need of renovation.  With the help of an interior designer, Lori Bellew of Salda Staging (http://www.saldastaging.com/), who volunteered her time to help us with color choices and a bunch of volunteers from a local church, we gave the office a beautiful face lift.  Valances have been added and we will be replacing the 20+ year old carpeting in the office.  A television has been donated which will be installed on the wall and a DVD player is going to be purchased so the children of the victims will have something to entertain them while their parent is talking to one of our advocates.
